Delete your Balsso account

Balsso by COUBUS OÜ. Deleting an account cannot be undone.

In the app

Open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. Every device is signed out at once.

Enter the number your account uses. We send a code to it by Telegram or SMS; if your account has a registration PIN, you will be asked for it too.

Your profile: name, username, photo and about text, and your contact link.
Your devices, their keys and sessions, push tokens, and messages still waiting for delivery to you.
Your contact list on our server, your blocks, privacy settings and registration PIN.
Your group memberships: you leave every group.
The daily usage counts kept for 30 days.
Your number is released: it can register again, as a brand-new account.

Messages you already sent stay on the other people's phones. They are end-to-end encrypted; we never could read them and cannot reach them.
Encrypted photos and files you uploaded expire on their own within 30 days.
A record with no name and no number stays, marked deleted, so other people's chats show "Deleted account".
Reports other people made about the account are kept while we handle them.
Encrypted backups of our database are overwritten on schedule: daily copies after 14 days, weekly after 60 days, monthly after 13 months. We never restore single accounts from them.
