Terms of Service
1. The service
Balsso is an end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video service provided by COUBUS OÜ, registry code 14419079, Vesivärava tn 50, 10127 Tallinn, Estonia ("Balsso", "we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
You need a mobile phone number you control and a device that meets our minimum requirements. You are responsible for keeping your device and, if you turn it on, your registration PIN secure. One person may hold one account per phone number. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Verification messages
To sign in, Balsso sends a one-time code to your number by Telegram, SMS or voice call. By entering your number you ask us to send that code. Message and data rates may apply. We send no promotional messages. See the SMS program terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Balsso to break the law, to harass or defraud others, to send spam, to distribute malware, or to interfere with the service or other users. Because we cannot read message content, we act on reports submitted by recipients and on technical abuse signals.
5. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription billed through Apple, Google or Stripe. Prices, renewal and cancellation terms are shown before purchase and follow the rules of the store you buy through.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to what you send. Because it is encrypted on your device, we neither access it nor claim any licence to it beyond what is technically needed to relay it.
7. Availability and changes
Balsso is under active development. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we provide the service "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Tallinn, Estonia, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
